what first drew you to american idol ? I loved the fact that for once, people were getting their chance to shine on television because they had actually done something. They didn't have to flash their six-packs for the chance to spend a month in the Amazon, or prove how they could be the token sweet virgin to live in a house of seven strangers (I'm speaking, of course, about Survivor and the Real World, respectively). No, these kids were getting the exposure because of their talent.

did you watch both seasons ? Season 3 is the only season I've watched in full. I only got into the tail end of season 2 because of one Mr. Clay Aiken.

which did you like better? why? Well Season 3 is definitely a disappointment. Season 2 was fantastic because it gave us Clay, but I can't really judge because I haven't seen/heard all of the past contestants.

which idol did you like better, kelly clarkson or ruben studdard ? Clay Aiken. ^_^ Kelly. In fact, I'm going to see her TONIGHT [with Clay, at the Indepedent 2004 Tour in Tampa. XD]

In the first season, who was your favorite? why? I actually really liked Tamyra, because she's a local girl and I used to hear her sing in clubs when I'd visit my brother in Gainesville [her hometown].

Between Justin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson, who did you want to be the American Idol ? why? I have to default with Kelly, because I didn't really hear Justin that much. But Kelly has always stood out to me because she is the total package--voice, image, personality. 100% pop star.

In the second season, who was your favorite? why? Would it be redundant if I said Clay? and why...? Because Clay had the spark that Ruben lacked.

Between Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard, who did you want to be the American Idol ? why? *Now* it's redundant when I say Clay.... XD. Clay is just SO full of passion. To me, Ruben was just too relaxed about all of it. Show some excitement and personality, man!

Who was your favorite judge? Simon. Hands down.

If Simon wasn't your favorite judge, what did you think about him? n/a

Did you go to any of the American Idol Tour Concerts? I went the season 2 tour concert, on my 17th birthday, in fact.

What did you think? LOVED every second of it. Ten great performers on one stage.

Did it change your opinion on any of the contestants? I hadn't really had the chance to see or hear any of the contestants other than Clay or Ruben, so seeing all them for the first time was fabulous. They were ALL great.

Have you met any of the Idols of either season ? I stood 5 feet away from Tamyra Gray and waved. Does that count?

If so, what did you think of them ? She gave me a big grin and waved back. Such a sweetheart.

Have you ever stalked any of them ? Actually stalked? No. Been tempted? Maybe. LOL.

What do you think of Kelly Clarkson's music career now ? She's doing very well for herself.

Do you have her cd ? If so, what do you think ? I love the variety. She's got the range and shows it in so many different ways.

What do you think of Clay Aiken's music career now ? He's sssssmokin'. heh. =P

Do you have his cd ? If so, what do you think ? I went to a release party to get his CD, LOL! =X It's on constant repeat in my stereo.

What do you think of Ruben Studdard's music career now ? You mean he actually has one? JUST KIDDING. I heard his CD, like, flopped.

Will you buy his cd ? No. But I do ocassionally enjoy "Sorry, 2004" when it comes on the radio.

What do you think about Justin Guarini's music career now ? I feel awful for him that his label dropped him like a bad habit.

Do you have his cd ? If so, what do you think ? I've downloaded some of his stuff and it's really not that bad.

What do you think about his record label dropping him? Do you agree ? Oh, see above. It made me feel even worse for him when he was on Ryan Seacrest's talk show and told about how he found out he was being dropped by reading it in a magazine--ouch. Poor guy. I don't think the record label ever really appreciated him, though, so I think he'll find a better deal elsewhere.

Your Opinion of...

Kimberly Locke : What a doll. Her performance of "Band of Gold" at the AI2 Tour gave me chills.

R.J. Helton : um, sorry...who?

Frenchie : You won't see me holding a 'FRANKIE WUZ ROBBED!' sign anytime soon, but I do lament the fact that she barely got a chance to showcase her voice before she got the boot.

Kimberly Caldwell : The pop industry was made for Kim. No doubts about it.

Nikki McKibbin : o_O? [Confused face.]

Tamyra Gray : In case you couldn't already tell--I admire her to bits.

Trenyce : My friend Miss Windy did a great interview with Trenyce that just made me love her ten times over.

Carmen Rasmusen : I defended her when people started yelling, "Goat Girl!" That was just mean. She's a very sweet girl, but needs more time to mature before debuting on the music scene.

Charles Grigsby : His performance was the only one at the tour where I was really bored. Sorry, dude.

Christina Christian : I don't know who this is. >.<

Julia DeMato : Thoroughly enjoyed her. ^_^

Have you ever tried out for American Idol ? No.

What was your experience ? n/a

Are you planning on trying out next season ? I don't think I'd ever try out for Idol. I have a good voice, but it's just from years of music classes. I know I lack the real, raw talent of people like Kelly and Clay.

Are you excited for next season? What do you expect ? I *was* excited for season 3, but it's been kind of a letdown. Sure, I have my favorites, so now I'm just watching for them.

Any other opinions you want to include ? Long live Ryan Seacrest.

Last question...

Do you consider yourself an "OBSESSED" American Idol Fan ?! Oh, yes. To an unhealthy degree. =D
